In the event of a fire all children will be gathered together and will evacuate the building as a group. If a fire is towards the back of the house we will exit via the front door and if the fire is towards the front of the house we will exit via the back door into the garden and out of the garden gate. On leaving the building I will take my mobile phone and emergency contact file.

We will then gather in a safe place in the car park outside my house and inform the fire brigade. Then I will try to contact parents to inform them and use my emergency cover to place children until they can be collected.
